You may have heard the latest news from Google: Starting in Q2 2025, Video Action Campaigns (also known as video conversion campaigns) will be upgraded to Demand Gen campaigns. Initially, existing campaigns in the current format will remain active, but new ones will no longer be allowed. By summer 2025, Google plans to fully transition all campaigns to Demand Gen.
According to Google, advertisers currently using Video Action Campaigns can achieve even better results by embracing the multi-format strategy of Demand Gen campaigns today.
We’ve already started testing this transition with some of our clients, and we strongly recommend testing Demand Gen in advance. This will help you identify and adapt to the specifics and nuances related to your product and your preferred ad formats. In short, the earlier you start, the better prepared you’ll be.
